HELP with riding mower?
Hit the mower deck, not the blade, with a root and since the mower does not start. We have replaced the selenoid, battery, ignition key switch and spark plug. Last time we got it to start took battery cables to battery on lawn mower and connected the red line to the starter and it started. Now, when I do it, the screen on top of the engine is spinning but the lawn mower is not firing or starting.
Is there something else I need to check?
sounds like you sheared the flywheel key,
even tho the deck hit the root it may have caused the blade to hit the deck and stopping the motor suddenly causing the key way to shear,
its under the flywheel,
remove the spark plug attach the wire to it lay it on the block or something metal attached to the engine turn the motor on with the starter is there spark ? if not then the key way is sheared,
if there is spark check the gas,
